PCB reveals Venue for IND-PAK Clash in Champions Trophy 2025

Venue for IND-PAK Clash in Champions Trophy 2025: With cricket fans witnessing a nail-biting encounter between greatest rivals India and Pakistan on June 09 in New York in the T20 World Cup 2024, the stages for their next clash in the Champions Trophy have been set, and will be clashing against each other in Match 2025 unless both sides end up playing in the knockouts in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

India secured a 6-run thriller victory during the T20 World Cup 2024 encounter in New York. On this occasion, the draft schedule of the Champions Trophy 2025 has been submitted to the ICC and the most awaited encounter will be the last league game in the tournament. The competition is set to be played between February 19 and March 09.

As per the schedule, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium is the venue for the game between India and Pakistan. But the decision lies in the hands of the Indian government as India and Pakistan have had political tensions for a long time.

India’s Cricket team hasn’t traveled to Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup. The match will be held only if the Indian team gets a permit to cross the borders otherwise, a hybrid model will be followed like Asia Cup 2023 where India’s games were staged in Sri Lanka.

However, the Pakistan Cricket Board has started the preparations and identified Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi as venues for the 20-day competition. The report also mentioned that Karachi will be hosting the opening game on February 19 while the semifinal game with Rawalpindi and the finals will be played in Lahore.
