Yuvraj Singh Slams Pakistan for Flawed Strategy

Yuvraj Singh Slams Pakistan for Flawed Strategy: Pakistan had a shocking defeat to the 18th-ranked USA in their opening match in the T20 World Cup. Beaten down to 159 in 20 overs, Pakistan’s famous bowling attack couldn’t tie down USA batters, and eventually, the hosts won the game in super overs by 5 runs.

USA, batting first, scored 18 runs in the super over but Pakistan could only score 13.

Yuvraj Singh Slams Pakistan for Flawed Strategy

Yuvraj Singh slammed Pakistan for not giving the strike to Fakhar Zaman during the super over. Zaman, being the left-hander, would have had a significant advantage over the left-hand seemer of USA. Singh, who is the joint ambassador of the tournament, praised the USA captain, Monank Patel, and the team ‘for making smart decisions under pressure’.

“I don’t understand why didn’t @FakharZamanLive take strike to a lefty seamer – when it is easier for a left-hander to hit through the angle that bowler is tryin to create. Nonetheless have to give it #TeamUSA @usacricket for making smart decisions under pressure specially the captain Monank Patel.”

Pakistan will now have to win all the matches to qualify for the Super 8. Otherwise, they will have to sit and wait for the results of others. Their next match is with the in-form India, and they will have to sweat a lot to win it. Yuvraj Singh warns them of that.

“Now, Pakistan needs a must-win against India & they surely need to bat & field better! With India’s strong start, it’s gonna be hard to beat us!”
