The hateful Mrs. Alito said about seeing the pride flag in celebration of gay pride month, ” I want a Sacred Heart of Jesus flag because I have to look across the lagoon at the Pride flag for the next month.” She continued on her rant saying, “I made a flag in my head. It’s white and has yellow and orange flames around it. And in the middle is the word ‘vergogna.’ ‘Vergogna’ in Italian means shame — vergogna. V-E-R-G-O-G-N-A. Vergogna. Shame, shame, shame on you.”
Additionally, the Alito’s recently faced criticism for flying an upside down American flag at their home, which since the Jan. 6th insurrection, has become a symbol for the insurrectionist lie that Joe Biden is not the legitimate president. At a second residence, the Alito’s displayed the “Appeal To Heaven” flag which has become a symbol of white nationalism.
It is now a blatant reality that Justice Alito is a partisan, white Christian nationalist who is devoted to taking away individual freedoms from women, the LGBTQ community, and voters in black communities. He is the embodiment of what a Supreme Court Justice should not be. His wife is a crass loudmouth who spews hatred and displays a misplaced sense of superiority. It’s ironic how staunchly protective Justice Alito was towards his wife’s right to free speech when he was the architect of stripping women of their right to reproductive freedom and privacy (violation of a 14th Amendment right).
Senator Whitehouse, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is a leading advocate for establishing ethics rules for Supreme Court Justices. Senator Whitehouse calls Justice Alito and Justice Thomas to recuse themselves from all cases related to Donald Trump and the Jan. 6th insurrection. Both Justices have demonstrated a bias in support of the attempt to overturn the 2020 election and a sympathy for the insurrectionists. Justices are supposed to be protectors of the Constitution, period! Alito and Thomas are so MAGA arrogant, they are not even trying to hide their extremist biases from the public. Senator Whitehouse is determined to keep the story of a corrupted Supreme Court in the media. Additionally, he is determined to keep the pressure on Alito and Thomas to recuse themselves from the cases involving Trump.
Ginny Thomas is another hateful wife of a Justice of the Supreme Court. Attorney General Merritt Garland let Ginny Thomas get away with conspiring with insurrectionists to overturn the legitimate election of Joe Biden. The two-tier system of justice is still protecting the Republican architects of the insurrection. The DOJ should investigate every justice, their wives, and members of Congress who supported the attack at the Capitol. Can we check their cell phones, please????
